Anne Dickens
Anne is a management and communications consultant focusing on corporate and issues communications and human resources strategy and policy development. Particularly enjoys people, complex environments and new arenas. For ten years she was employed as Head of Personnel and Communications for a national charity with £4bn investment portfolio. She is a Work Foundation Associate and a Non-Executive Director of the Sussex Ambulance Service.
Her Work-Life Balance projects with Swiftwork include Braintree District Council, National Peak Park Authority, Scottish Legal Aid Board, Emap Advertising, a Barristers Chambers, The British Council and Balfour Beatty.
Projects have involved building the business case; cost benefit analysis; reviewing management style and culture, staff awareness raising and development; tailored communications programmes; work systems and job design; policy development; manager coaching; change management; generating pilot schemes; creating success criteria and evaluation systems.
Communications consultancy work has involved issues analysis, strategy development, campaign building and management and media relations, as well as staff communications.
Anne's approach is to be sensitive to each organisation's particular needs and issues and always to work in partnership with in-house staff. This establishes constructive working relationships, which focus on the business, the people and the work to ensure a positive impact on the organisation.
