What our clients say about Swiftwork
“The consultant (Swiftwork) is an excellent and skilled facilitator with a wealth of knowledge. She is always full of energy and enthusiasm, thereby creating a dynamic and positive environment in workshops, which results in the full involvement of participants. Her ability to engage well with people from different backgrounds and cultures has been particularly useful within the international context of the British Council. On a personal level, I have learned a great deal from her professional and positive approach and have thoroughly enjoyed working with her.”
Leah Gilbert
Personnel Manager
British Council

“The results have been excellent and I would recommend Swiftwork
to anyone. The consultant assigned to us, Jane Jackson, has been a
pleasure to work with. She has been extremely flexible in her approach
and quickly absorbed our organisation’s issues and culture. She
has always been very positive and has made workshop and training events
with managers fun. Her input has been well received at all levels.”
Gill Wright
Human Resources Manager
English Nature

“I wanted a consultancy that specialised in Work- Life Balance
and had actual sound experience to draw on. I also wanted an extra
resource to work with me doing some of the hard work on the project
- rather than offering advice and theory alone. I chose Swiftwork.
The consultant allocated to our project, Anne Dickens, has exceeded
our best expectations. She is a very skilled communicator who is naturally
confident and relaxed with all levels and types of people. She “mucks
in”; sharing tasks to be done and is always a great support and
sounding board. It is difficult for even the most cynical to argue
when actual examples of how it “can and does work” (from
experience) can be offered.
I am delighted that I chose Swiftwork.”
Moira Williamson,
Personnel Manager
Scottish Legal Aid Board

“The external perspective has provided us with new insights
as to what can be achieved and challenged us to consider new ways of
working. The process that Swiftwork followed was extremely useful in
preparing the teams for the challenges they would face. In addition,
the teams were equipped to deal with further changes that may occur
so that their Work-Life Balance is more resilient than if we had conducted
this exercise on our own. We have been impressed with the speed with
which the Work-Life Balance programme has impacted on the staff.
The consultancy provided by Simon Phillips has been invaluable.
He has driven the programme throughout and has helped us meet all
of the
deadlines on time and in budget. He has a style that engages all levels
within the organisation and we have had positive feedback from every
event he has led.”
Rachel Robins
HR Services Manager
Metropolitan Borough of Wirral, Social Services Department

"The work-life balance road-shows run in Barclays raised
awareness of flexible working policies, and got people thinking about
their own
life choices and priorities. The sessions were relaxed and informal,
and provided participants with an opportunity to take stock of their
lives and reassess their work-life balance."

Equity and Diversity Manager
Barclays Bank

Tendring achieved a £2m contract entirely because the client
was impressed by the Company’s approach to work practices (including
training) and care for its workforce. Price played no part in the selection
for the project, and in fact Tendring’s budget price was one
of the more expensive. The correct choice of Consultant has been fundamental
to this stimulus, with fresh and inspirational thinking brought to
the project by Rhian Bradley and Swiftwork. The consultant was chosen
because of the need to have “Blue Sky Thinking”. This was
achieved through Swiftwork.

Tendring Construction Ltd

“I would particularly like to thank the contribution of
Swiftwork, without whose enthusiasm and professionalism, we would
not have made
such good progress. The dedication and commitment of Swiftwork and
Ian Redmond, and having an internal project champion, contributed greatly
to the success of the work-life balance project. Ian Redmond proved
to be an excellent trainer and was very well regarded by all who met
him.”
Anne Mawson
Corporate Training and Development Officer
Wakefield Metropolitan District Council

“ Swiftwork’s contribution has been fundamental to the success
of the work-life balance initiative at Braintree District Council.
Their professionalism, commitment and enthusiasm have been inspirational.
Swiftwork embodies qualities and values that one does not necessarily
expect from consultants in this day and age. We are talking about approach – the
ability to identify with the client, to intuitively understand the
environment and culture in which they are operating and to deliver
accordingly.
There was a real feeling that Swiftwork recognised the realities
of day-to-day operational and managerial issues. Without this understanding
little progress would have been made at Braintree.”
Helen Krischock
Personnel Manager
Braintree District Council

“We have received knowledgeable, flexible support which
has helped us make real steps in driving forward our work-life balance
initiative. My only concern is what I will do when they are no longer
there for me to call upon!”
Ruth Marchington
Personnel Manager
Peak District National Park Authority

“The experience and motivation of the consultant (Swiftwork)
showed us the way to go where no person has dared to go before”
Pam Potter
Personnel Manager
Bolton Metropolitan Borough Council, Housing Department

The council had begun to explore Work-life Balance initiatives, however
the extra support and resources from Swiftwork has enabled the project
to take on a new dimension and depth.
The additional objectivity from an external consultant has helped
to positively influence attitudes.
